Someone sent my partner a link to this song Newport – Empire state of mind which bears a very close resemblance to this one based on my hometown Ostrava – Ruda z Ostravy feat. Martina Pártlová.
Both are pretty good but I wonder which came first (after the original NY one of course).

You’ve heard of the Mumbles Mile but probably not about Stodolni Street which has close to a hundred pubs and clubs.
The street is situated in Ostrava and it has quickly become one of the best known places in Czech and in neighbouring Poland and Slovakia.
What makes Stodolni unique is not so much the sheer number of places to go but more the fact that the majority of bars have a style of their own with regard to music, decor and general atmosphere. So you could start the night in a traditional Czech pub drinking Radegast, continue on to an Irish bar for a Guiness, stop for one or two Pilsners at the Sherlock Holmes, join semi-clad girls dancing on the bar of Desperados for obligatory shots and after that perhaps pay a quick visit to the Flintstone’s Pub …
